Our Coaches
All of our coaches are deeply passionate about mountain biking, in more cases than not actively pursuing this as a hobby outside of work. As such, they understand the difficulty of picking up mountain biking for the first time having never tried it before, and also understand the desire to get better and better at the sport. As such, our coaches put their all into helping you develop your skills in our coaching sessions- from complete amateur to professional standard.
What makes our coaches qualified?
All of our coaches at Roots & Rubber are are MIAS Level 3 Certified Instructors- an accreditation awarded by the Association of British Cycle Coaches (ABCC) and recognised by several British Cycling Bodies including the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA) and the Association of British mountain Bike Guides (ABMG).
This accreditation focuses on the skills and knowledge required to be a mountain biking instructor on terrains of all types and instructing people of all skills levels safely and effectively.
As part of the accreditation our coaches have relevant first aid training which is re-verified yearly along with the rest of the accreditation, to ensure all necessary skills and knowledge is kept up-to-date and relevant.
